全国高速道路建設協議会（会長＝尾﨑正直高知県知事）は21日、東京・平河町の砂防会館別館シェーンバッハサボーで第55回総会を開催した。来賓に大塚高司国土交通副大臣、岸田文雄自民党政調会長、井上義久公明党副代表など衆参国会議員72人を迎え、尾﨑会長、鈴木英敬副会長（三重県知事）、佐竹敬久理事（秋田県知事）、長崎幸太郎理事（山梨県知事）、杉本達治理事（福井県知事）、丸山達也理事（島根県知事）の６県知事、中嶋年規理事（三重県議会議長）、新原芳明理事（呉市長）をはじめ、整備を求めるミッシングリンク首長１６８市町村長など総勢１２００人が会場に集結。「ミッシングリンクの解消や暫定２車線区間の４車線化、安全に使い続けられる高速道路の施策を進めるため、新たな財源の創設は必要」と訴える尾﨑会長より総会決議が大塚国土交通副大臣、工藤彰三大臣政務官、田中英之大臣政務官に手交された。総会後、自民党の二階俊博幹事長、岸田政調会長、加藤勝信総務会長、財務省のうえの賢一郎副大臣、国交省の石井啓一大臣へ特別要望を実施。決議項目の実現に理解を求めた。
