ＮＥＸＣＯ西日本は18日、開通から41年を迎えた中国自動車道・安志橋（下り線）のリニューアル工事をマスコミに公開した。同橋は、福崎ＩＣ～山崎ＩＣ間に設けられた約65㍍の鋼３径間連続非合成鈑桁橋。９月９日から昼夜連続対面通行規制を実施し、劣化した舗装の切削や既設床版の切削・切断・剥離を進めている。
関西地区初となる現場公開当日は、11㍍×１・８㍍の巨大なコンクリート床版を、２００㌧クレーンで撤去した後にプレキャストＰＣ床版に取り替える〝工事の見せ場〟。「同橋が横過する国道29号の通行止め、床版のクレーン吊、設置と進む慎重な作業を理解して頂きたい」という同社の配慮で高所作業車からの撮影も行われ、集まった多くの報道陣が現場の緊張感を肌で感じていた。 同社では「更新・修繕事業は弊社の最重要課題。阪神高速や周辺道路の計画を視野に入れ綿密に調整したい」と話している。
